Wait…doesn’t the Chicago Blackhawks season start October 12th at United Center along with the rest of the NHL? Yes, but a special pre-season tournament called the World Cup of Hockey returns this year after a 12 year break…and it starts today in Toronto through the end of September!

Beside Joel Quenneville assisting the Team Canada bench & Stan Bowman working as a GM for the Under 23-year-old Team North America, here are the 10 Hawks players taking part in the #WCOH2016:

Team USA: RW Patrick Kane
Team Canada: C Jonathan Toews & G Corey Crawford
Team Czech Republic: D Michal Kempny
Team Europe: RW Marian Hossa (Slovakia)
Team Finland: D Ville Pokka (prospect with the Rockford IceHogs)
Team Russia: LW Artemi Panarin & C Artem Anisimov
Team Sweden: D Niklas Hjalmarsson & C Marcus Kruger
