If you are a fan of the Chicago Bears or maybe another team in the National Football League, you probably know the name Adam Schefter. Before joining ESPN as an NFL reporter & insider in 2009, Adam was a graduate of Northwestern University‘s Medill School of Journalism & worked for the Chicago Tribune in 2000.

Yes, we have a TV in our studios…& since today is the opening Sunday of pro football in America, I did have ESPN’s “NFL Countdown” pre-game show silently on the tube. During a #US99 commercial break inside 11AM, I caught Adam Schefter’s untold story about the Maio Family & it left me in tears.

This isn’t any generic remembrance tribute, and not a story from any locker room. I highly recommend you share this with everyone you know.

On a personal note… after seeing this as a single man in search of my forever someone,  I will never look at blind dates or single mothers in the same way ever again.
