All aboard the Hogwarts Express to Philly…. that’s where the Harry Potter festival is mate!
For one magical day in October, Chestnut Hill neighborhood transforms into Hogsmeade for the annual Harry Potter festival. Consider this event the same as getting your letter to attend Hogwarts!
The “Hogwarts Express” trains aka the Chestnut Hill East or Chestnut Hill West will take you straight to the event and word is, you might even run into Harry Potter, Ron, Hermione or Dumbledore (lookalikes of course).
The whole day is composed of magical actives – you get sorted by the Sorting Hat, practice spell in the Defense Against the Arts classes, cheer on your house during a Quidditch tournament.
There will also be a HP conference at Chestnut Hill College, which looks like a modern-day Hogwarts. There is a fee to attend – all details HERE!
And the best part – there’s a BUTTERBEER PUB CRAWL! Tickets go on sale Wed, Sept 28 at 10AM.
Admission is for the fair and quidditch tournament is free.
The event takes place Oct 21-22.
Costumes are encouraged!
