We’ve all seen the video from Miranda Lambert’s Friday night show in Hartford, Connecticut, where a soldier held up a sign saying, “3 combat tours … [Your] voice was the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT! THANK YOU!!!” which moved Miranda (and all of us) to tears.

We now know who that soldier is: Jeff Tudisca of Norwich, Connecticut.

Jeff is an Army veteran who saw action in Afghanistan and Iraq twice. He didn’t know Miranda Lambert or her music before deploying to Iraq, but received a mix-taped while deployed that had two of her songs on it, “Greyhound Bound for Nowhere” and “New Strings.”

“It literally stopped me right there, and ever since that moment, that’s the only person I ever wanted to listen to,” Tudisca said in an interview.

He had seen Miranda in concert 5 times before this past weekend’s show, where he decided to let Miranda know what her music had done for him.

At Friday’s show, Miranda saw his sign, read it, and said, “Really?” before grabbing it to hold it on stage for all to read.

“Right when it first happened I was like ‘oh no, this is really happening.’ There’s really no words for it,” Tudisca said of the moment.

“That was one of the happiest moments of my entire life. When you got something you really want to tell someone and you finally get to, regardless of having to do it in front of a gigantic city, it was really cool,” he continued.

And there’s new, exciting news: Jeff will meet Miranda TOMORROW!!

Taking to his Facebook account, Jeff post that the meeting will happen, “Friday Night at Gillette stadium …… I still can’t believe it…. But they are putting me face to face with …… Miranda Lambert!!!!!! What is happening!!!!!!! Thank you to everyone that made this happen. I am absolutely floored by the amount of support I have received. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!!! Stay tuned for my next freak out!”

Jeff also said that meeting Miranda will be “a dream come true,” but also said that he “[doesn’t] have a damn clue” what he’ll say to Lambert when he meets her. “The only thing I ever wanted to say to her, I said the other night. So now I gotta figure out something else!”

We think that you’ll have lots to talk about when you finally get to talk to Miranda, and we’re sure Miranda will have lots to say to you too!

Hopefully this meet and greet will be documented and we’ll get to see the emotional, beautiful moment!

Thank you, Jeff, for your service to our country. We are forever grateful.
