WATCH: Scotty McCreery Posts Veteran Tribute For Veterans Day

Scotty McCreery paid tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice with his song, ‘The Dash,’ by posting the emotional video on Facebook and YouTube.

The film features U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Andrew Carpenter, and McCreery performs the fan-favorite song every night in concert.

“This video, created by Josh Carter, is based on the true story of Marine Lance Corporal Andrew Carpenter, a Columbia TN native, who came under enemy fire on Valentine’s Day, 2011, during his second tour in Afghanistan. Andrew passed away 5 days later,” McCreery wrote via Facebook.

“His wife, Crissie, (the cousin of my bass player Nathan Thomas,) was expecting their first child. Thank you Crissie and Nathan for sharing your family’s story with us. It is a great reminder of the sacrifice our military-and their families-make for us.”

Take a moment to watch the video and honor all the men and women who have served for us and our country.
