Kelly Clarkson Talks American Idol, Bill Clinton’s Wandering Eye, And Her Baby Makin’ Song!

So what does Kelly Clarkson think about all the chatter that Bill Clinton was checking her out at the Presidential Inauguration?

She talked to Lisa Dent & Ramblin’ Ray this morning with her take, along with her thoughts on the current line-up of American Idol, and her “baby makin’ song”!

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but in this case, the picture also appear to not tell the whole truth. Kelly is pretty sure that Clinton wasn’t checking her out, he was just trying to get a better look at what was going on.

“It wasn’t stadium seating where we were seated” Clarkson said. “We were all standing directly behind, so all of us up on the stage were doing that, they just caught him [Clinton].”

Everyone knows Kelly received her big break as the season 1 winner on Fox’s “American Idol“, but what does she think of the current format?

“I haven’t seen it yet, but my assistant said it’s kinda all about Nicki [Minaj] and Mariah [Carey] going at it. It’s kinda sad, because I am actually a huge “Mariah” fan. I grew up listening to her music so, I dunno, it’s kinda weird, right? It’s weird that they would make it about that?”

It is opportunities like that which lead to Kelly being able to take chances in pop music and eventually making her way to country music. One song Clarkson is most proud of is her song, “Don’t Rush”, which features Vince Gill.

“It’s my baby makin’ song. I love it”, Kelly stated. “It was my first ‘thing’ in country music, my first solo release.”
