The big news yesterday was that Brantley Gilbert and Jana Kramer got engaged! Brantley proposed on his birthday Sunday at the historic Ryman Auditorium which he rented out for the day. Brantley asked Jana’s mother permission to marry her daughter which Jana loved when she found out.
New music out today includes:
Randy Houser “How Country Feels” – the title track is now his 1st #1
Gary Allan “Set You Free” – he chats with Lisa & Ray tomorrow
2013 Grammy Nominees– Taylor, Hunter & Kelly Clarkson represent country. (There’s a private Grammy celebration in Nashville today for the local nominees.)
So Gary Allan’s new album is out today and you can bet every song on it will be emotionally-charged because that’s what Gary believes a song should be: “To me that’s what country music is. I grew up on the Merle Haggard’s and the George Jones’, so that’s—if a song didn’t make you laugh or make you cry or piss you off, it just wasn’t doing its job, and you know it’s just the fluff. To me, country music is Monday through Friday, and pop is about what happens on the weekends, so I want the grit of it.”
No more meet and greets with Toby Keith. According to TulsaWorld.com, Toby posted a statement on his website that reads, “Due to current security concerns, all personal meet and greet requests for friends, family and fan club members have been discontinued. Thank you for your understanding.”
Thompson Square’s new album “Just Feels Good” will be out March 26th!
