Luke Bryan declared via Twitter this morning that he’d party like it’s his birthday– because it is!
Today, Luke will make a wish when he blows out 36 candles on his cake.
“My main thing,” Luke tells us, “is just to enjoy all this, and just do the best I can to sing better and perform better and be a better artist for all the fans that have supported me thus far.”
Luke’s birthday buddy is Craig Morgan, who also celebrates another year of life today. How is he celebrating? By being on TV!
Tonight, catch Craig Morgan on TNT’s Rizzoli and Isles, which came about when R & I‘s Angie Harmon was in one of Craig’s music videos.
“Angie Harmon was in my video for This Ole Boy,” Craig explains. “She texted me and asked me if I would be a serial killer in Rizzoli and Isles. I said, ‘Yes, I will, but I’d rather be a good country cop coming up to help you. I don’t wanna be a bad guy!’ But being stereotyped as a good guy is not a bad thing. But I told her I would do it. Yeah, I’d be the guy who’d laugh when he shot someone.”
Ashton Kutcher seems to be laughing a lot at the expense of country music, and the incidents keep coming. The Two and a Half Men actor was seen at a Kenny Chesney concert in Anaheim flinging water at photographers.
Maybe he was just trying to keep them cool in this heat wave?
There’s a cool new band out of Nashville called The Farm, and their debut album is out today. You know them from their hit song Home Sweet Home.
And finally, our thoughts are with those close to the late Kitty Wells, the first woman to ever reach No. 1 on the country charts. She had 25 top 10 hits including her first It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.
