A few months ago, it was reported [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eddie Montgomery [/lastfm]had cancer and was not too well off. Well, it is official. Eddie’s doctor has given him the Pass Go card.
Eddie’s doctor has actually made a comment on the cancer and how Eddie’s future looks:
“Mr. Montgomery underwent successful robotic surgery for prostate cancer in December,” his doctor, Thomas Kirk Slabaughm Jr., reveals. “His cancer was completely excised, and he will not require further treatment for his prostate cancer in the future. Mr. Montgomery has benefited greatly from early detection of prostate cancer with PSA screening.”
This good news comes in a perfect time! [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Montgomery Gentry[/lastfm] is headed off for an 8-day USO Tour starting this Sunday:
“We couldn’t be more excited to start our year with a visit to the Opry and this USO trip to entertain our troops,” says Troy. “We understand on a much smaller level what it is like to be away from our families and our homes. If we can bring a little bit of home to our heros serving overseas, then we’re all for it.”
