In honor of Country Music Month, throughout October, we’re going to be running Top 5 lists of different types of country songs. Today, we present to you, the Top 5 Country Songs About Heartbreak.Ah, heartbreak. It’s something we’ve all experienced and it happens to make perfect fodder for a country song.  What would country music be without songs about heartbreak?There’s a ton of great songs written on the subject.  Here are five of our favorite tear-jerkers:#5“Wish You Were Here” by [lastfm]Mark Wills[/lastfm]A man takes a plane trip, and tells his wife he’ll talk to her that night.     Great list of heartbreak songs!

    My key line in Joe Nichols’ ‘Brokenheartsville’ is “Here’s to the past they can kiss my glass. I hope she’s happy with him”.

    Would love to hear these songs played on US99.
